Adding External Mic Units to your IP Cameras
Some some cameras come with an internal microphone to capture audio:
In some environments the internal mic may not have enough coverage for customer needs. In this case you can use an external mic to help to increase coverage, or install in a better location.
What to know:
- Only one Cat 5/6 cable run is required
- External Mic connects into pigtail (Audio In) of supported Cameras
- You will need to add external AC to power the Microphone
- Camera Settings – Set to use External Mic and Adjust mic level inputs
